Where to Stay
- Hakata: Transit + ramen; easiest for short stays
- Tenjin: Shopping/nightlife; central for cafes and bars
- Momochi: Waterfront, quieter, near the dome
What to Eat
- Hakata tonkotsu ramen (Ichiran HQ + local shops)
- Mentaiko (spicy cod roe) on rice or pasta
- Yatai stalls by the river (go early for seats)
Things to Do
- Canal City, Ohori Park, Fukuoka Tower sunset
- Dazaifu Tenmangu (day trip), Nanzoin Reclining Buddha
Tips
- Cash for yatai; lines form 6-7pm
- Use subway + Nishitetsu buses; IC cards everywhere
- Combine with Kyushu hops (Nagasaki, Beppu) if time allows
